under blood, sea, and moonlight (bad title)

comment: i started this piece on the 19th of april. this took me two months, which is why there's no art in the 2026 section of the gallery from april to may (other than the fact that i had tons of exams). this is based on that scene in the iliad where achilles is mourning patroclus and sees his ghost, and wants to hold him one last time. patroclus is taken away before they can embrace. that moment in the iliad had an effect on me. after finishing this i vowed to never make a high effort illustration of these two again, which is a vow that will definitely be broken. if i do work on something with them again, i hope i use a reference. that would make it so much faster.
