for the background of this shrine, it actually randomises between 35 images! these images are all from the hermitcraft season 9 world, which i downloaded from hermitcraft.com and flew around in!

i will provide descriptions of the images, but they're very partial and filtered through my perception of things, rather than a proper image description. i may provide more information about what the build is about.

these six images are from docm77's perimeter! the first one is a closeup of one of the murals, which was a collaboration between various artists in his community. i will leave a link to the twitter post which credits them here, but i'll leave them under the details tag as well:

the other 5 images are of the walkways around the edge of the perimeter. i have always loved the vibes in this area of the perimeter specifically, so that's why i took so many images. there are various lighting scenarios like night, sunset, and noon. in one of the images the camera is turned towards the sun as it sets. in some images there's a bat that flies in the night sky.

these two images are from stress's forest! i didn't watch her as much as doc and the soup group (pearl, gem, impulse) in season 9, but i remembered how much i loved these builds so i took images regardless. the first image is of a secluded house on a hill in a forest, taken from a camera under a tree, during the middle of the night. the second image is of the near-full moon, with amethyst crystalline trees surrounding it, glimmering and purple.

these three images are of zedaph's base! i started watching his videos in season 9, similar to docm77 and geminitay. i would talk more about him but that's not for this section of the shrine lol

the first two are of his base from above! i used commands to position my camera directly in the centre, so these images are very symmetrical. his base is a circular hole in the ground, with six beacons of various types surrounding it. you can see the beacons and the surrounding environment outside the base very well in the first image, as that image is higher up. however, the second image is in the hole. you would think that you would be able to see the floor of the base if you were closer to it, but it's pitch black, so you can't see it. there are 8 waterfalls running down the edges of the hole.
the base is very weird, and that's why i like his videos. i don't know if what i'm about to describe counts as animal cruelty because the animals aren't real, but just to be safe i'll describe it under the details tag.

there are animals of many kinds dangling down from poles in his base, at least more than 15, but the low light of the image makes it hard to tell.

the third image is of the perilous percussion achievement: redstone under transparent glass, that when triggered, plays a song that uses creeper explosions as percussion. you can tell this because the redstone has a lot of noteblocks, there are faint outlines of creepers in cages in the distance, and because i told you right now.

this image is of one of the tcg arenas near spawn (the centre of the world)! the camera is placed among the seats, which are dark turquoise: made of prismarine and dark prismarine stairs.

this image is of a statue that presumably resembles geminitay, if the long auburn red hair signifies that effectively, in a dress aiming an arrow. the sunlight is very strong, as the camera is looking at this statue from above and the sun is in frame. this image was taken near spawn.

this image is of an extremely colourful multi-story building in spawn. it is mainly turquoise, but there are accents of purple, orange, and green. the sunlight is strong, but the sun is not visible in frame. i don't know who built this, but it reminds me of pearlescent moon.

this image is of the hawkeye/hotguy headquarters near spawn. the camera's position (on the ground, looking up) makes the tower look imposing and gigantic. the time is mid-day.

this image is taken later in the day, so the sun is weaker and the overall mood is dimmer. this image is a pumpkin shop surrounded in shrubbery. the materials of the building are dark as well, contributing to the moody atmosphere.

this image is of impulse's mega shop from afar: a large, bulky, yet still tall building made with blacks and golds. tall dark grass obstructs the view of the road that leads to the massive shop. the sun is a warm yellow, partially obstructed by a tree you're behind, but since the sun has been setting for a while, the rest of the world is washed in a dark blue. the building is so far away that it's starting to fade from view.

this image is of the three previous builds i've described: the black and gold building, the pumpkin shop, and the hawkeye/hotguy headquarters. they are lit up by artificial lights at night, but somehow the sun is still visible, presumably a minecraft glitch

a collection of four dark images of the same mysterious environment, where not much can be observed. there's the moon in the sky, a dirty wooden path, some trees and fungal foliage, and a slightly glowing build with pinks and oranges. the build doesn't seem to be a building or naturally generated, it almost seems alien... the second image is in a higher camera angle. a cyan blue tree is visible in the moonlight, but the nebulous terrain behind it blends into the shadows. random parts of the ground seem to glow. in the third image you can see crystals growing from the walls and a cavity that glows orange. in the fourth image, you can see more of the environment, and it becomes apparent that a majorty of the flora is unnaturally coloured.

a trio of images, now taken while the sun is rising instead of the night. you can see a different build made from stone. there are waterfalls flowing into a river overcrossed by a copper bridge. there is a statue of a dwarf with a copper base. the stone build seems to have two components: a dwarven build - the entrance to the mines, and behind it - an elven castle. this image is accompanied by a second image: the copper bridge connecting to the alien landscape from before. this elven castle, dwarven mine, and strange garden: all connected.

this is the soup group of season 9. the elven castle is built by geminitay, the dwarven mine by impulse, and the alien landscape by pearlescent moon.

the third image is of the alien landscape, now lit up tentatively by the morning sun. you can see more of the colours of the plants now, as well as a secretive building behind it.

pearlescent moon's build with more light so you can see all the different tree colours! yellow, pink, a mysterious overgrown tower with a ring around it, orange, among other colours! wait, what was that about a tower?

the first image but brighter and during the day: the mural in docm77's perimeter. it shows his character: a goat creeper cyborg in a lab coat and a grey shirt, a cool mecha goat that he battled the buttercups with, and the perimeter flag. the mural is framed by overgrown pipes.

back to the soup group! the steps to geminitay's elven castle. the steps are pretty steep even when the camera is right on them.

the entrance to the castle! it has two dwarven statues flanking the door in golden armour, resembling impulse. it's very cute!!!

one of the hallways of the castle. the floor is dark oak but the walls are quartz, giving a nice contrast. you can see a hint of shrubbery within the wall, but this is obscured due to the angle. the focus of the image is tangotek's head at the end of the hallway. if you know geminitay's character this is funny. the joke is that she fictionally kills people in minecraft not real life.

another hallway of her castle with an aquarium! the aquarium has mainly pink and blue accents via the coral and fish colours. geminitay's head is on a small table next to the aquarium.

the final two images: the hallway in full. the roof and floor are made with dark oak, while the walls are quartz. the roof's supporting arches are quartz. there are pockets in the wall with shrubbery where the wall is instead green terracotta (though i can't say for sure.) the chandeliers are teal coloured and let out a warm glow. the floor is lined with a teal carpet. the sky is dark outside.
