comment: i barely know how to begin talking about my thoughts about sudan. i miss the last time i visited sudan in 2019, when me and my family celebrated independence day there. i was with my cousins, my parents were waving the flag from the car, we were having diversions from our regular route in the past few days and i didn't know why. it was because of protests blocking the road. covid happens. i can't see my family in sudan. covid is over, we finally get to meet them for a few weeks. just months later, a war starts. some of my family escape. i miss them. i miss my joy. this new years eve felt so silent in the house, and i don't know if it's because i've gotten older, or because we all know things are wrong. today is new years, today is sudan's independence day, today sudan is not free. i feel loss.
all we can do is keep eyes on sudan.

the pale has no colour

comment: one day i thought 'if the pale is nothing, then how would a picture of it look?'. then the concept of it just showing up as transparent came to me. the pale goes beyond colour in its pursuit of nothingness- to the fourth colour channel after red, green, and blue: alpha transparency.
